ASC 7400PP Leak Tester.
The ASC 7400PP allows for pouch testing, even when stored at low temperatures. By measuring the pressure inside the pouch (ASC Instrument patent), it eliminates false positives caused by condensation observed with other methods.
Operation
The operator places the pouch in the drawer and closes it. The cycle starts automatically and runs independently.
A vacuum is gradually applied inside the chamber, causing the pouch to inflate. It comes into contact with a sensor that measures the pressure inside the pouch. If the pressure remains stable during the testing phase, the pouch is leak-free, and the green light comes on. In case of a leak, the pressure in the pouch decreases, the measured pressure variation (delta P) exceeds the tolerance, and the red light indicates the defect.
